Born in South-East London, I left school barely literate with no qualifications. The only options available to me were the trades. I chose Bricklaying. A trade that took me to the USA and Spain. A trade I hated. I had always wanted to write, so I set out on a long path to re educate myself, starting with an English A-level, which I failed miserably. Determined to carry on, I enrolled the following year and passed. I went on to study Spanish and Philosophy at Middlesex University and the Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao. Then embarked in a career teaching, lecturing in bricklaying. I still hankered after my lifelong dream of writing, so In 2010 I left behind a career in education and financial stability and moved to a small Spanish village, where I began my lifelong dream of writing.
